BETCON ELEVATOR PRIVATE LIMITED

MR-Type Passenger Elevators

Machine Room (MR) Elevators

Machine Room (MR) Elevators are traction elevators that are becoming the most common choice of mid rise buildings. These are explicitly designed to fit in small spaces, consume less energy and yet deliver smooth and safe operation in combination with Betcon’s advanced control & drive system technology.

MR is a new design concept that is now being widely accepted. As the name implies, the elevator does not require any machine room space as the machine and other related equipment are installed inside the shaft. The technological advancement & innovation has led to further benefits like, low construction & maintenance cost and creating more usable space. It is an ideal solution for low, high rise, new & existing buildings.

WHAT IS PASSENGER ELEVATOR, HOW TO CHOOSE A PASSENGER ELEVATOR

A Passenger lift is designed to ferry people from point A to point B vertically. The modern passenger lift is a simple means of transport within a building. Passenger elevators capacity is related to the available floor space. Generally, passenger elevators are available in typical capacities from 4 to 26 PASSENGERS and speed varying between 0.5 Meter/Sec to 2.5 Meter/Sec.
Choice of passenger elevator typically depends on the type of building (Commercial, Residential, Hotel, Mall, Housing society, etc.), and passenger traffic movement. Budget involved is also a deciding factor between manual door and auto door passenger elevators. Betcon offers all types of passenger elevators whether auto door or manually operated doors with a variety of aesthetic choices for interior, flooring & false ceiling.

Over Mounted Main Engine (Standard Type)

Main Engine installed into the space between the shaft top car and the elevator shaft wall, control cabinet installed beside the top lifts door, so as to minimize the link between the control cabinet and the main engine for easier overall maintenance.

Traction System with Green Environment Protection

Weight of Permanent Magnet Synchronous (PMS) Traction Machine with the compact structure is only half of that of the traditional Traction Machine. Machine Room has been designed as the same as well as the area. It fully increases the utilization rate of construction. It reduces influence proportion of the machine room in the buildings.

Compact Control Cabinet

It applies Elevator special–purpose thin control cabinet that has been custom-made by Betcon. It effectively saves the well space and increase the utilization rate of building space through reducing thickness of control cabinet.

The Effective Energy Saving Car Lighting

Energy consumed by the car lighting shares approximately 40% of the total elevator energy consumption. Betcon applies the effective energy saving and long life LED lamps to replace the traditional halogen lights. The service life is 10 times higher than that of the halogen lights. It can save up to 80% of the energy cost.

Note:
1- The total overhead dimension has been calculated on the basis of car height of 2.3 m,
2- In case of manually operated doors, clear entrance will be reduced by the amount of projection of handle on the landlng door.
3- All dimensions given above for lifts having centre opening power operated doors with counterweight at rear, are recommended. dimensions primarily for architects and building planners.
4- Dimensions of pit depth and overhead may differ in practice as per design depending upon load, speed and drive.

ELEVATOR OPERATIONS

SINGLE AUTOMATIC OPERATION

Automatic operation by the means of the button in the car for each landing level served and one button at each landing so arranged that if any car or landing button has been actuated, the actuation of any other car or landing operating button will have no effect on the movement of the car until the response to the first button has been completed.

DOWN COLLECTIVE AUTOMATIC OPERATION - ONE CAR (SIMPLEX)

The car stays at the main floor, which has an ‘UP’ button; upper floors have ‘DOWN’ button. The controller memorizes landing and car calls. Ideal for residential buildings, the car travels to the highest landing call, stopping at car calls only while going up. On the way down, it stops at all calls in sequence.

DOWN COLLECTIVE AUTOMATIC OPERATION - TWO CAR (DUPLEX)

Operates like the Simplex system, but with two cars: one parks at the main floor, the other at the top or midway if last stop was the main floor. When a call is received, the microprocessor sends the nearest car. For multiple calls, a car goes to the highest, then serves in downward sequence.

ELEVATOR DESIGNS

1:1 Suspension System

1:1 roped. Single wrap. Generally restricted to 30 meters. The most straightforward is considered a 1:1 roping arrangement in which the movement of the roping members and the corresponding amount of movement of the elevator car is the same. 1:1 roping offers equal rope and car speed, ideal for medium to high-speed elevators but needs a diverter for layout flexibility.

2:1 Suspension System

In a 2:1 roping arrangement the roping members movement is twice as much as the corresponding movement of the elevator car. 2:1 roping doubles load capacity by moving the rope at twice the car’s speed.

4:1 Suspension System

4:1 roping arrangements have been proposed and include roping member movement that is approximately four times as much as the corresponding movement of the elevator car.
